3 Ways to Vote in the August Primary

1- Vote on Election Day

Use the Pollfinder from the Minnesota Secretary of State to find your polling place. Polling places will be open from 7am to 8pm on Tuesday, August 9th. As long as you are in line to vote by 8pm, you can cast a ballot. You can register or update your registration on election day. Learn more here.

 

2- Request a Mail Ballot

Download the Absentee Ballot Application and fill in your information (you can sign electronically!) Then, send your completed application via email to elections@co.dakota.mn.us or by mail to:

3- Vote Early In-Person

You can vote early in-person from now through August 8th at the Dakota County Service Center in Apple Valley (14955 Galaxie Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124) Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Starting Tuesday, August 2nd, you can also vote early in-person at your town’s city hall (Apple Valley, Rosemount, or Eagan).

Early Voting hours for August 2nd through August 8th are:

Tuesday August 2 : 8am-4:30pm

Wednesday August 3: 8am-4:30pm

Thursday August 4: 8am-4:30pm

Friday August 5: 8am-4:30pm

Saturday August 6: 10am-3pm

Monday August 8: 8am-5pm
